Expand your mind folder

Posted in the net by mike on the June 24th, 2007

I’ve already refreshed Gmail 17 times in the last 5 minutes, but nobody loves me. Google reader is so full I don’t know from where to start. I’ve played all the 67 funny videos I’ve received in the past week and the now I’m finding miniclips boring.

Does this scenario sound familiar?

Well, today I’ve setup a new bookmark folder in my toolbar called “Expand your mind“. This folder contains a list sites to help make something useful of otherwise wasted time, i.e. learn something. Presently this folder contains the following links:-

MIT OpenCourseWare
A free open educational resource for self-learners around the world
Best Online Documentaries
Ranging from Anthropology to Technology with lots of stuff in between. These are BBC quality documentaries not amateur internet crap.
Google Tech Talks
Google technology presentations for Google employees. Can it get any geekier than that?
University Podcasts and Lecturers
Open content from top US Universities.
